Frequently Asked Questions
How does your one-on-one tutoring work?
Every student begins with a free consultation, where we learn about their needs, school curriculum and academic goals. We then match the student with a suitable tutor and arrange a trial lesson. After each session, students receive notes, feedback and a lesson recording to support their learning.
What subjects and grades do you cover?
We support students from Grades 7 to 12, with a primary focus on Grades 9 to 12, across the major Canadian curricula, including Ontario (OSSD) and British Columbia. Subjects include mathematics, the sciences (physics, chemistry and biology) and English, as well as advanced programs such as AP and IB.
Do you offer a trial lesson?
Yes. Students can take a 30-minute trial lesson to experience our teaching approach and confirm that the tutor is a good fit before starting regular lessons.
Can we change tutors if it's not a good fit?
Yes. The right match matters, and if a tutor is not the best fit, we can promptly arrange a different tutor who better suits the student’s learning style.
How are your tutors selected?
Our tutors come from leading Canadian universities such as the University of Toronto, UBC, Waterloo and McGill. Every tutor completes a rigorous selection and training process to ensure strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills.

How often should tutoring sessions be scheduled?
Most students benefit from one or two sessions per week, depending on their current level and goals. We will recommend a suitable schedule during the consultation.
How long is each tutoring session?
Most sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, and the length can be adjusted to suit the student’s focus and learning needs.
Do you follow the school curriculum?
Yes. Lessons are aligned with the student’s school curriculum (OSSD or BC), so the support translates directly into coursework, tests and assignments.
Can tutoring help improve grades quickly?
With the right strategy and consistent effort, many students see noticeable improvement within a few weeks. Long-term progress, however, depends on the student’s engagement and study habits.
